Schools Reopen in Guinea After Ebola Outbreak

One year since the first Ebola cases surfaced in Guinea the world health organization says there are success stories to report.

Schools closed due to the Ebola outbreak in Guinea reopened Monday. You may remember our reports from October when we told you that Guinea was one of the worst-hit countries in West Africa. A series of just-released papers examines Ebola in several West African nations pointing to situations like that in Lagos, a large and densely populated city that was successful in defending itself from the sickness.

The reports also say that because of what was learned this past year, countries now have better chances at bringing the outbreaks under control.
