Studies Show Link Between Anxiety, Creativity with Mobile Phone Usage

Cell phones can be a great way to keep in touch with your parents, friends, and your school.

But it turns out they can also be a source of stress.

A recent study found that being separated from your cell phone can lead to anxiety. What's more, that anxiety can lead to poorer cognitive performance.

A separate study found that even when we do have our cell phones in our hands, they could be negatively affecting us. These days we're never bored. Sitting at the doctor's office? Time to check Facebook. Waiting for the bus? Time for a quick game of candy crush. But scientists say boredom is where creativity comes from, and not allowing ourselves to get bored is keeping us from being creative.

So if you want to stay sharp and creative, maybe give your brain a little break from that cell phone.
