Weather Roundup: 2014 Year in Review

According to the National Weather Service, the U.S. is on track to record nearly 400 fewer tornadoes in 2014 than in previous years.

But from a crippling southern ice storm to a massive northern snow storm, 2014 had quite a few wild weather events.

Mary Moloney looks back.

You heard in that last story that California is getting some much needed rain. But the storms were so strong over the weekend that many people had to be evacuated. Heavy rains caused this mudslide in Camarillo springs, about 50 miles west of Los Angeles.

Homes there were left buried up to the windows with rock and debris.

There were at least 13 reports of debris flows, with more rain expected this week.
