Millions of Catalans cast ballots in a vote to secede from Spain Sunday.
Results showed that 80 percent of Catalans do want independence. but since this was just a symbolic, or unofficial vote, it doesn't change anything - for now.
Catalonia is displeased with Madrid for multiple reasons, including taxation.
The Spanish government insists the constitution does not permit simply one of Spain's 17 regions to unilaterally secede.
