Ohio Headlines: Record Setting Pumpkin, Bengals Player Surprise Visit, Ohio State Honors NBA Star

The Circleville Pumpkin Show has a new record for biggest pumpkin.

We told you last week about the perfect growing weather in Ohio, and this year's show did not disappoint.

Bob and Jo Liggett brought a gourd tipping the scales at 1,964 pounds to the weigh-in last week at the opening of the annual four-day festival. That beat the old record - also held by the Liggetts - by more than 300 pounds. They have now won the crown for biggest pumpkin at the show 12 times.

Remember the story of Devon Still, the Bengals football player whose daughter Leah was diagnosed with cancer and he's since been an advocate for cancer research? He's making news again. Earlier this week, he brightened the day of one young woman going through a fight of her own.

College basketball player Lauren Hill is 19 years old and has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. She is making the most of the time she has left by living out her dream of playing college basketball at Mount Saint Joseph University in Cincinnati.

Lauren was surprised at practice on tuesday when Devon Still showed up, as she thought she was simply there to prepare with her team.
And of course Devon wasn't going to leave just giving Lauren a memorable moment- he had a heartfelt gift for her-his signed beagles jersey with a special inscription reading "hashtag beat cancer."

And in columbus, a college basketball team leaves an NBA star player a gift fit for a king. The Cavs played one of their preseason games at the Schottenstein Center Monday night- that's the home of the Ohio State Buckeyes.

To honor one of their bigger fans, the buckeyes left Lebron James with his own personal locker from the basketball team, complete with all kinds of Ohio State gear and a special nameplate.

Lebron says he's humbled to have his own spot inside the OSU locker room.
