The SpaceX dragon lifted off from Kennedy space center in Florida early Sunday morning on its way to the International Space Station or ISS.
The unmanned capsule launched into orbit atop a falcon 9 rocket. The spacecraft is packed with supplies, including the first 3-d printer in space. Also on board: 20 mice, elements for more than 250 scientific experiments and a device called ISS rapidscat that will measure the winds on the earth's oceans. The SpaceX Dragon reached the international space station on Tuesday and will remain at the orbiting outpost for about a month.
