There are undoubtedly many greater Clevelanders unaware that this region used to be one of the five largest garment manufacturing districts in the United States.
Starting 140 years ago, and really strong about 110 years ago - one in every seven Cleveland residents worked in the industry; not only for Cohen-Goodman, Joseph & Feiss, Richman Brothers, and American Lace – but at many smaller outfitters – from millinary stores to boot makers, and even inside woolen mills.
Most are long gone, but there are still apparel companies here in 2017, continuing the region's history…
and one – is quietly making top of the line men's suits…. in a facility where they've been crafted; for decades…
