During the Civil Right's Movement, Andrew Young was one of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s closest lieutenants, marching at his side from Montgomery to Memphis.
After King's assassination, Rev. Young was elected to Congress and served as Ambassador to the United Nations under President Jimmy Carter.
As Mayor of Atlanta, he used his international contacts to bring global commerce and the 1996 Olympics to Atlanta.
These days, through his foundation, Ambassador Young is focused on global food issues in Africa, the Caribbean and Urban America, where food insecurity is a daily fact of life for millions of people.
Last week, Young was in Cleveland to visit Rid-All, an innovative urban farm located in what is sometimes called 'Cleveland's Forgotten Triangle.'
Young told a gathering of the farm's supporters that food nurtures peace.
