Explorys, a bio-data company spun off from Cleveland Clinic research, was sold to IBM in 2015, for hundreds of millions of dollars.
The company is staying in Cleveland, in new offices very near the clinic.
More recently, Cover My Meds, birthed in Twinsburg, sold to Mckesson for more than a billion dollars.
It plans to retain its presence here, and in Columbus.
