Budget cuts would ratchet up pressure on Ohio food banks and the needy families they serve

One in six people in Northeast Ohio is food insecure, meaning they don't know where they'll get their next meal. Last year, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank averaged serving 237,000 people, 64,000 children and 36,000 seniors per month. That's more than four million people in 2016. President Donald Trump's proposed budget cuts funding to numerous programs which help people in need and if that assistance goes away then many will be turning to food banks for help. Kristin Warzocha, President and CEO, of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank discussed the impact the cuts will have on Northeast Ohioans in need.
