The republicans bill keeps some popular provisions of its predecessor, but shifts how the government would provide financial help, and doesn't mandate coverage in the same way.
Some items cut from the new plan include:
More generous subsidies for lower-income americans,
Taxes on the wealthy and drug makers,
And limiting insurers to charging older enrollees three times more than younger ones.
The plan is being pilloried by conservatives, democrats, and even some republicans.
Plus the American Medical Association, the American Hospital Association, and AARP.
