This is the last program where we deliberately celebrate our Polish-American heritage during October - Polish American Heritage Month. During each of our programs this month we have dedicated time to promoting Polish history and patriotic music. However, if you are a normal listener of this program you realize that this is the goal and mission of our program. To promote Polish history and patriotic Polish music.
We dedicate some of this program to the celebration of All Saints Day - Wszystkich Świętych , a Catholic and Polish National Holiday, which takes place on November 1st every year. We will share the traditions surrounding this very important celebration in Poland and abroad.
We begin our program with Stanislaw Moniuszko's Aria Skołuby from his opera The Haunted Manor - Straszny Dwór which conveys the feeling of the Polish national spirit and is an ideal patriotic demonstration for Polish-American Heritage month and this time of the year.
