Dr. Jerome Adams was confirmed as the 20th Surgeon General of the United States on August 2, 2017. In his mission as the "Nation's Doctor," Dr. Adams is committed to addressing the most pressing public health concerns including the opioid epidemic, oral health, vaccinations, and exploring the links between community health and both economic prosperity and national security.
