Even after a couple of decades, Northeast Ohio's startup community might still be considered to be in its early stages. This is especially true when compared to other areas of the nation where the startup economy is so integrated it has become almost boring. Not so here. The sought after "exit"-- where a startup becomes significant enough to be acquired and investors reap a return -- is still a rarity.
