Transportation Budget Stalled; Statehouse Update

Ohio lawmakers have hit a roadblock in their effort to pass a two-year transportation budget, missing their end-of-March deadline. The biggest point of contention is the size of a gas tax increase to fund needed infrastructure improvements and repairs. The Ohio House and Governor Mike DeWine have agreed on 11 cents per gallon, 20 cents for diesel. The Senate wants less. A conference committee will be back at it. We'll talk about the gas tax and other sticking points, and cover the issues that have already been hammered out, including 70 million dollars for public transportation. Later, Bill Nye the Science Guy on how young people will save the world -- if we get them interested in science early.
