The Sharing Economy

People are making money -- from a few bucks to a living -- by sharing what they already have. Got a car? Why not use it to give someone a ride, for cash. A spare bedroom? Someone might pay to sleep there. On this edition of the Sound of Ideas, the rise of the sharing economy and companies like Uber and Airbnb. Proponents love the convenience and low price, detractors warn of hidden drawbacks as these companies disrupt the marketplace.
