A Mediterranean diet rich in olive oil, nuts, fish, beans, fruits and vegetables may improve your health. And unlike many diet claims, there's actual science behind this one. Researchers, in a new study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, have shown that a diet -- the Mediterranean Diet to be exact -- can have an effect as powerful as drugs in preventing heart disease.
