Evening the Playing Field

High school sports are a part of Americana: football under the Friday night lights or basketball rivalries played out in gymnasiums so loud you can't hear the halftime buzzer. And, more often than not, private schools beating up on public schools in the post-season playoffs. The board that governs high school sports in Ohio is considering a complicated plan to even the playing field. Some say it's long overdue; some say it doesn't do enough.
