Decline of Local Newspapers, Gender Equity in Summit Co., & Plan to Scan

Today, Ohio has 32 percent fewer newspapers than it did in 2004, and newsroom jobs have dropped by about 43 percent. On The Sound of Ideas, we’ll talk about how this growing news desert impacts communities at large. Then, we’ll talk about a new study that finds Summit County lagging behind in female leaders and equal pay. We'll discuss how to address this workplace imbalance.
