The race to become Cleveland's next Mayor is down to the final two: Cleveland City Council President Kevin Kelley and nonprofit executive Justin Bibb.

Last week, the two candidates sat down for one of their first mayoral forums since the September primary, where they were asked about how their administrations would help local businesses succeed, especially businesses owned by people of color.

The "Sound of Ideas" host Rick Jackson sat down with Kelley and Bibb at the President's Council's 2021 Regional Black Business Conference last week to ask them a range of questions about growing the economy but also about advancing racial equity.

Both addressed the need for the city to work well with Fortune 200 businesses like Sherwin Williams, as well as a corner barbershop in Lee-Miles, or West Park.

This hour on the "Sound of Ideas," we'll hear that conversation.

-Kevin Kelley, Cleveland City Council President

-Justin Bibb, Nonprofit Executive
