Back Story: Coming Home: A History of War Veterans

Most news coverage of America's wars in Iraq and Afghanistan focuses on troop movements, suicide bombings, and geopolitical developments. Only rarely do we hear the stories of the individual armed service members stationed there, and hardly ever do we hear what it's like for them when they return home. On this special Veterans Day episode of BackStory, the History Guys ask: Has it always been thus? How have veterans been treated in the aftermath of America's previous wars? Are vets only as popular as the wars they've fought in?
