America Abroad: Holy Diplomacy

The Catholic Church is one of the world's longest-standing institutions, and throughout its history has played a unique role on the global stage. The Church figured prominently in the fall of communism and contributed to solving conflicts across the globe. Holy Diplomacy traveled to the Vatican to examine the inner workings of the Holy See's foreign policy machinery, and to Colombia, where the Catholic Church is attempting to build peace in a troubled country.
