Your Answers: How did you celebrate Earth Day?

We tell you all about Earth Day, and now we’re wondering: How are you celebrating Earth Day?

---

I celebrated Earth Day by using metal straws! I also picked up litter in my yard! I also feel like we should say thanks to our one planet. Maybe do better with littering or not use plastic straws that much! I am so thankful for our Earth. We should all treat our planet with respect. Hip Hooray for Earth Day!

— Gracelyn, Meadowlawn Intermediate School

l am celebrating Earth Day by planting a tree in my backyard. My dad helped me plant the tree.

—Andy, Loveland Elementary

Last year I read a few articles on Earth day then I wrote about it. I also went outside and collected a lot of flowers, grass, stickes, and anything else that I could find on my nature walk, then I go home and start making a picture out of everything I collected then I take a picture of it so I have it for years and years. I like to celebrate Earth day because  It helps me appreciate the world we live in.

I am celebrating Earth Day a few ways. I am going to keep using my reusable water bottle so I don't use plastic. I am also going to make sure to recycle everything I can. Lastly, I will go around my neighborhood and pick up trash that I see and throw it away/ recycle it. That is how I am going to celebrate Earth Day!

— Madeline, Mulberry Elementary

My friends and I are making an organization called More Trees, More Smiles. Our goal is to plant 10,000 trees this year. We are also trying to donate to people who are in need. This is not only for Earth Day, but it's for the whole year! I hope that we will help the planet.
