School Cancelled Due to Flu

WE HAVEN’T SEEN ALL THAT MANY SNOW DAYS HERE IN OHIO! THIS YEAR, KIDS HAVE BEEN MISSING SCHOOL FOR A DIFFERENT REASON.

BEVERLY FROM RUSHWOOD ELEMENTARY WROTE TO US IN RESPONSE TO US DECLARING FEBRUARY HEALTHY HEART MONTH LAST WEEK, SAYING:
“TO YOU IT’S HEALTHY HEART MONTH -- WELL NOT FOR MY CLASS! IT’S MORE LIKE CYGANSKI FLU MONTH! MRS CYGANSKI IS MY TEACHER AND 7 PEOPLE ARE OUT SICK!”

THAT’S A LOT OF SICK CLASSMATES, BEVERLY, BUT IT SIMPLY DOESN’T COMPARE TO A TENNESSE SCHOOL. WITH HUNDREDS OUT SICK, THIS SCHOOL DECIDED THERE SIMPLY WEREN’T ENOUGH HEALTHY KIDS TO STAY OPEN.

JENNIFER WEBB HAS MORE.
