In this week’s show, we asked you to give us reasons why people should move to Ohio. Here are some of your thoughtful responses!

Emily, Strongsville Middle School in Strongsville: "A reason I would give to someone to move to Ohio is that we all made a lot of new things we still use today, believe it or not. Did you know that the first traffic light was erected in Cleveland, Ohio? Also, the cash register was invented by James R. Ritty from Dayton, Ohio! Many other things were made in or by people from Ohio. This is the reason I would give to someone to move to Ohio."

Joey, Wayne Trail Elementary School in Maumee: "I think a reason someone would move to Ohio because there would be good jobs and golf courses. Plus it is in the middle of the U.S.A and you can move here from anywhere. You can find good jobs in Ohio and flat ground for farmers, you can also fish, hunt and farm here. Ohio has Cedar Point and Kings Island."

Gabriel, Grant Elementary School in Lakewood: "People should move Ohio because there are amazing places to swim in the summer like Lake Erie or Foster Pool (in Lakewood Ohio). There are also activities like snowboarding or ice skating to do in the winter! Or the amazing Cedar Point which is the only one like it in the world! The famous Cuyahoga River also resides here! That is why people should move to Ohio."

Hayden, A.J. Jordak Elementary School in Middlefield: "There are lots of reasons I would tell someone to move to Ohio. Ohio has great resources like great farm lands, cheese and tomatoes. I would tell someone if you want good farmland, come to Ohio. If you want to eat great, homegrown food, then come to Ohio! We also have good cheese in Ohio because we have good milk. These are the reasons I would encourage you move to Ohio!"

Kendall, Cloverleaf Elementary School in Seville: "I would tell someone to move to Ohio because... I live there! Well, that's one of the reasons. A reason I would tell is the unpredictable weather. One week, it could be pretty warm, the next week, wow it's snowing! Plus, Ohio has a pretty good community, well at least I would think so, and interesting things can happen. That's some of the reasons I would give someone to move to Ohio."
