NEWSDEPTH QUESTION OF THE WEEK:  What are you most thankful for this Thanksgiving?

Lauren, Waynesfield-Goshen Elementary:  What I am thankful for on Thanksgiving is how it brings your family together and all of the very yummy foods.  I love Thanksgiving.  I think it is one of my favorite holidays.  One other thing I love about Thanksgiving is that at the end of the day my grandparents save the extra food and donate it to food pantries near us!

Bella, School of Innovation:  I think it's important to be thankful for family, because it's always nice to have someone you can talk to, or get help from them. I have a lot of people in my family, but it's always nice to have another person there for me. It's always good to have food on the table, and watch football with others, but without a family, you can't do that. So I believe it's important to be thankful for family, always.

Keagan, Munroe Elementary:  The thing I am looking forward most this Thanksgiving is the right type of football, because I used to play for my city’s team.  I am also looking forward to watching the Cowboys vs the Redskins, because I like the Cowboys.  Also lots of the people in my family play or played football so we are always very excited when we watch the games.

Katie, Westminster Elementary:  Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on things that we are thankful for.  I am thankful for my friends because they are always supportive and kind.  I am also thankful for my family because they are always motivating.  In the voting on football, family, or food I said that I am thankful for seeing my grandparents and family.

Tristan, Ayer Elementary:  I am thankful for my family and the veterans in my family as well.  I think that if Thanksgiving never existed, I probably would not know how we could give thanks to everyone that is worth thanking.  I know that Thanksgiving was introduced by the European settlers, and I can be thankful to them for even creating Thanksgiving.

Randall, Cardinal Intermediate:  I am most thankful for the house I live in.  I'm thankful that I have a room in my house to sleep in.  I'm thankful that I have a kitchen in my house to cook all of the food.  I'm thankful for the dining room in my house to eat all of the food anyone makes.  I'm thankful for my living room where I play with my dog and play with my toys.  I'm thankful for my office room where my fish is and where I play on the computer.  I'm thankful for the two bathrooms in my house so I can take showers and use the bathroom.  I'm thankful that my parents and my sister have a room to sleep in so they don't have to be cold at night or just to play in.  Finally, I'm even thankful for my scary basement.  I used to play down there all the time but now it just has a lot of spiders and is really freaky.

Lydia, Orchard Park Elementary:  My favorite part about Thanksgiving is the food and family.  I like the food because it gives you nutrition and it's yummy!  Also I like being with my family because they are so funny and it is fun to spend time with them!  I think Thanksgiving is a great holiday and I can't wait to have a lot of fun.
