NewsDepth A+ Start-Up Kids: Blake Parhamovich

THIS WEEK WE ARE INTRODUCING A SPECIAL A-PLUS SEGMENT CALLED START-UP KIDS. IT’S WHERE, FROM TIME TO TIME, WE’LL HIGHLIGHT YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE
PURSUING THEIR PASSIONS, AND MANAGING TO MAKE A PROFIT AT THE SAME TIME.

RECENTLY, A FEW OF THESE YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS VISITED OUR RADIO STUDIO HERE AT IDEASTREAM -TO SHARE THEIR STORIES WITH OUR AUDIENCE THROUGH
THE SOUND OF IDEAS PROGRAM. NOW WE WANT TO SHARE ONE OF THEM WITH YOU.

MEET BLAKE PARHAMOVICH.

BLAKE: “MY COMPANY IS BALLOONS BY BLAKE, ETC, A CHILDREN’S ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS.”

RICK: BLAKE BECAME INFATUATED WITH BALLOON ART WHEN HE WAS JUST 6 YEARS OLD.  THE MORE HE PRACTICED, THE BETTER HE GOT, AND EVENTUALLY HE WAS IN SUCH
DEMAND AT PARTIES AND EVENTS THAT HE REALIZED IT WAS TIME TO PUT A PRICE TAG ON HIS TIME, AND SO BALLOONS BY BLAKE WAS BORN. BLAKE LOVES ENTERTAINING CHILDREN, AND HE HAS EXPANDED HIS SKILLSET TO INCLUDE UNI-CYCLING, JUGGLING, MAGIC, AND STILT WALKING.

NOW BLAKE IS 17 YEARS OLD AND A JUNIOR AT SOLON HIGH SCHOOL AND NORTHERN CAREER INSTITUTE.  HE TELLS US THAT AS A YOUNG CHILD, PEOPLE DIDN’T ALWAYS TAKE HIS BUSINESS SERIOUSLY, SO HE WORKED EXTRA HARD TO MAKE SURE THAT THE QUALITY OF HIS BALLOON ART WOULD SHOW THAT HE IS A TRUE PROFESSIONAL.
NOW IT’S PRETTY CLEAR THAT BLAKE’S SKILLS ARE TOP NOTCH (AND NO, WE DID NOT SPEED UP THIS VIDEO AT ALL!).

BLAKE HOPES TO MAKE A FULL-TIME CAREER OUT OF HIS BUSINESS SOMEDAY, LOOKS LIKE HE HAS WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN. SO A SPECIAL A PLUS TO
HIM!
