NewsDepth 2021-2022 | Episode 23

In this week's episode, we head to the U.S. Capitol, where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy makes his case for U.S. support in the fight against Russia.

Next, we take a close look at a manipulated video of President Zelenskyy, and learn how to spot a “deepfake.”

Then, we meet a student in California who has found his voice with the help of some groundbreaking tech. That got us wondering: What piece of technology would you create to help people?

Speaking of groundbreaking, we learn about some fearless female scientists from history, whose scientific breakthroughs shattered stereotypes.

Forensics (noun): The use of science to solve crimes.

Coding (noun): The language of computers.

Ethics (noun): A system of moral principles that tell us how to act.

We learn about a new piece of technology that gives a non-verbal student the ability to communicate:  What piece of technology or tool would you create to help people?
