But I do use my real name on school websites (and NewsDepth). I also don't talk about my personal life in chat rooms and I of course do not talk to people on the Internet I don't know.

I always am careful and check multiple times for a green lock on the top left of the screen. If I must chat while on a website, I make sure I know who I am talking to and never say my address, name, or any other personal information. I ask my teachers and trusted adults which websites are safe.
Madelynne, Walter G. Nord School in Amherst: What I do to stay safe online is I make sure that nobody can see my passwords. Also, I don't talk to random people online even if they say they are my age. I also NEVER tell kids were I live even if they say they just want to hang out with me in real life because you never know if they could be lying. Another thing I do to stay safe is if I have an app that you take pictures or videos on is that I would have my account on private so only people I know can see my account or I just don't show my face ever. That is how I stay safe online.
