Google Cardboard Helps Save Baby's Life

Thanks to a simple cardboard contraption and an innovative set of surgeons, a Minnesota baby born with only one lung and half a heart is expected to make a full recovery from surgery after doctors initially told her family her situation was hopeless.

Using virtual reality technology, doctors were able to envision an operation in a new way. Virtual reality refers to an artificial environment that is experienced through sights and sounds provided by a computer.
