An eye-opening grand jury report has revealed widespread cases of child sex abuse and intentional cover-ups by Catholic priests in six Pennsylvania dioceses. The detailed report found at least 1,000 children had been abused by some 300 priests over the past 70 years and detailed the efforts by church leaders to conceal allegations. The report has sparked outrage from rank-and-file Catholics and apologies from church leadership. To discuss the possible impact of this latest scandal on the 700,000 Catholics living in Northeast Ohio, ideastream's Rick Jackson spoke with theologian Doris Donnelly, a professor emerita at John Carroll University.
