The team behind Edwins Leadership and Restaurant Institute in Shaker Square is taking its concept to Medina this spring. A new restaurant, Serenite, will also serve high-end French cuisine while providing training and jobs to individuals recovering from drug and alcohol addictions. To learn more about the new eatery and the philosophy behind it, ideastream’s Rick Jackson spoke with Edwins founder, Brandon Chrostowski. Also joining the discussion were  Medina County Probation Officer Veronica Perry and Stefanie Robinson from the Recovery Center of Medina County, which is leading the initiative there and will share space with the restaurant in a Victorian-era clapboard just off village square. Chrostowski and Edwins were featured in the short documentary "Knife Skills," that is up for an Oscar this year.
