Local entomologist answers questions about midges and other bugs

It's hard not to notice the swarms of midges taking over our region -- covering doors, garages and depending on your proximity to the lake, maybe even your house.

On top of that, state officials warned us to expect high numbers of ticks and mosquitoes this season due to our region's mild winter.
