Consul General Celebrates Israel’s Cleveland Ties

This year Israel turns 70. The nation’s ties to Cleveland run deep: Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver of Cleveland was a leading voice for the creation of a Jewish state following World War II. In town for the 114 th annual meeting of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, Ambassador Dani Dayan, Israel’s Consul General in New York, sat down with ideastream's Rick Jackson to talk about Northeast Ohio's enduring relationship with Israel. Dayan also discussed the state of democracy in the region and President Trump's decision to move the American embassy to Jerusalem.
