Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson says he is joining a growing number of mayors committed to fighting climate change from greenhouse gas emissions.

This follows last week's announcement by President Donald Trump that the United States would withdraw from the Paris Accord, an International Agreement Designed to curb climate change.

Some Ohio businesses expressed dismay over the decision.

Jackson says Cleveland will be unaffected and that a worldwide plan to address climate change is 'simply the right thing to do" and he will participate with the group known as the Mayors National Climate Acting Agenda.
