Closing an MLK Trilogy 'At Canaan's Edge'

Web Extra: Hear an extended version of Taylor Branch's conversation with Ed Gordon

Ed Gordon talks with Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Taylor Branch about his new book At Canaan's Edge: America in the King Years, 1965-68 -- the final installment in a trilogy of histories about the life of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the impact of his civil rights and anti-war activism on the American psyche.

Brach's previous books charting King's path from Southern preacher to national leader began with Pillar of Fire: America in the King Years, 1963-1965 and continued with Pillar of Fire: America in the King Years, 1963-1965.
