Merry Christmas! I hope your holiday is a happy and fulfilling one.

Mine is getting off to a slow start. I’m flying into Chicago’s O’Hare airport, where aviation officials grounded flights this morning due to dense fog. That’s likely to cause a chain reaction of delays.

Hey, Santa Claus! Can my airline borrow Rudolph for a few hours?

I’ll stock up on plenty of glossy lifestyle magazines that I never ordinarily read to keep me occupied as I wait. I’ll also explore this video-rich story, created by ideastream’s Justin Glanville and Mary Fecteau, of a little boy who lives in Cleveland’s Woodhill Homes.

“The thing I like best about Woodhill is there are always kids outside to play, so it's always fun outside,” said 9-year-old Sonny Graham. “Except when it’s raining.”

Add fog to that list, Sonny.

Justin, as you probably know, has been reporting from Woodhill all year as the public housing community positions itself for the possibility of major renovations.  Public housing officials and residents will find out in a few months whether they’re getting federal grant money for the project. It’s one of the many stories that ideastream will continue to follow in 2020.

I will return to the airwaves, and Noonish, in the next decade. (That sounds wild, doesn’t it?) In the meantime, Glenn Forbes will fill in here and behind the mic.
