Applause Performances: Chris and Jake Fader with Joe Tomino

As we continue what's become a socially-distanced music series, "Applause Performances" now comes to you the second Friday of the month at noon on WCPN's Facebook page.

While the month of September is considered a back-to-school month, during these pandemic days many kids are losing out on that in-school experience as they learn virtually from home.

It's hard on the students. It's hard on the teachers. And it's hard on the parents.

For Applause Performances, ideastream's David C. Barnett welcomed a trio of Cleveland musicians who're dealing with the home-schooling situation as they continue to make their music.

Chris and Jake Fader have two children, ages 6 and 3, while Joe Tomino and his wife have a 9-year-old.

The musical couple shared new music written this summer with Tomino from inside their studio in a set of eclectic, world-soul sounds.

Applause Performances — ideastream's series of live virtual performances — now takes place the second Friday of every month.

While many of the in-person events we love have been postponed or canceled, we want to bring you the next best thing! Each month, you can look forward to new live music from popular Northeast Ohio artists.
