A few artistic family affairs get the spotlight in Northeast Ohio for this week's to-do list. From live performances to visual art shows, find something that interests you. 

Tedeschi Trucks Band

Roots rock wife and husband duo Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks bring their 12-piece band, known for its dynamic live shows, to the Akron Civic Theatre, Tuesday, Feb. 1. Tedeschi Trucks Band shares new music from its forthcoming album and welcomes Raye Zaragoza as the opening act for a show that starts at 7:30 p.m.

"The Gershwins on Broadway"

The Musical Theater Project and the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra team up for a tribute to American legends George and Ira Gershwin. " The Gershwins on Broadway" celebrates the brothers' songs on stage at the Maltz Performing Arts Center in University Circle Saturday, Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m.

"Side by Side: The Art of Ryan and Keira Finley"

The Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood hosts a unique father-daughter exhibition ," Side by Side: The Art of Ryan and Keira Finley," through Feb. 27. Ryan is an arts teacher at the Beck Center while his 10-year-old daughter Keira is one of his talented students.

Valley Art Center Annual Student Faculty Exhibition

Another student-teacher show, albeit no relation, is on view at the Valley Arts Center in Chagrin Falls. The Annual Student Faculty Exhibition featuring new works by Valley Arts Center students and their teachers opens Friday, Jan. 28, with a public reception happening later on Feb. 18.

"Foolish Fish Girls and the Pearl"

Clague Playhouse in Westlake stages Barbara Pease Weber's retelling of "The Little Mermaid," which wonders, "What if she didn't get her happy ending?" This adaptation of the beloved Hans Christian Andersen story, " Foolish Fish Girls and the Pearl," is on stage through Sunday, Feb. 6.
