Jonathan Schwartz's 'Good Time'

Writer and radio personality Jonathan Schwartz has three passions: music, Frank Sinatra and baseball. His new memoir All in Good Time reveals how he has managed to indulge them all. NPR's Liane Hansen speaks with Schwartz about his life and new book.

Schwartz grew up surrounded by entertainers -- his father, songwriter Arthur Schwartz, worked closely with Sinatra and contributed several tunes to the American popular songbook, including "That's Entertainment" and "Dancing in the Dark."

The book also chronicles the author's experiences during the rise of FM radio and his social escapades among the "beautiful people" in New York during the 1960s and '70s.
