1966 U.S. Civil Rights Commission Hearings in Cleveland: Welfare and Education

During the hearings on welfare and education, recipients of federal Aid to Dependent Children payments described to commissioners how they made ends meet. The commission spoke with students, teachers, parents and researchers about racial segregation in Cleveland's schools.
