Health workers can't rule out the possibility that Amber Vinson may have been symptomatic as early as Friday or Saturday, while in Northeast Ohio, said Dr. Chris Braden of the Centers for Disease Control.
Braden told reporters at a Thursday afternoon news conference that the CDC now wants to get in touch with any passengers who shared Vinson's Oct. 10 flight from Dallas to Cleveland.
Summit County health officials said Vinson visited a bridal shop called Coming Attractions on East Tallmadge Avenue between noon and 3:30 on Saturday, Oct. 11. Dr. Margo Erme with the county health board said anyone who was at the shop during those times should contact the county health department information line.
Officials said eight people are quarantined, including a child who did not have direct contact with Vinson. Erme said 12 total contacts are being monitored.
Erme stressed that there are no Ebola cases in Summit County, and none of the contacts have shown signs or symptoms of Ebola.
