Democratic State Senator Nina Turner says Ohio lawmakers have spent so much time on bills devoted to women's health issues lately that she wants to make sure there's legislation to protect men's safety too. Turner's proposing a bill that would require men to obtain a second opinion from a psychological professional to verify a man is truly sexually impotent before he could get a prescription for drugs like Viagra and Cialis that could have serious side effects.
Turner - They really need to consider counseling and make sure their doctors make them aware of other remedies that are available.
Turner says celibacy is one of the remedies that should be considered. Turner says this bill is not a way to get back at lawmakers who she says have been so keenly focused on women's health issues.
Turner - We are just trying to share the love.
