Metrohealth Medical Center, Cuyahoga County's safety net hospital is sitting on a cushion of more than $53 million, a sizeable profit for 2009. That's all the more remarkable when you consider in 2008, the health system barely squeaked out a profit, and ended 2007 with a $2 million loss. Sarah Jane Tribble is following this story for the Plain Dealer and sat down with ideastream®'s Eric Wellman to talk about it.
