Now, state senators have okayed a re-write, making the retroactive intent clear. Sponsor Tim Schaffer says in his home county - Fairfield - some offenders have already challenged the law. Now that the rewrite of the sex offender residency law has passed the Ohio Senate on a vote of 30 to nothing, it heads to the House of Representatives.
