Doctors are seeing an increase in real injuries caused by virtual sports. These injuries aren't super common, but they're spawned by the growing popularity of the Nintendo Wii. These games are very addictive if you've ever played. Basically, payers swing a controller as they wood a tennis racket or baseball bat, and the player on the screen mimics the motion. This begs the question -- are players getting any of the actual health benefits that come with playing a sport like tennis or football, or is it just another video game? Dr. Susan Joy is Director of Womens Sports Health at the Cleveland Clinic. ideastream's Eric Wellman recently stopped by her office and asked her what kinds of injuries she's seeing.
