Columbus Police confirmed a shooting occurred near the McDonald's on High Street near Ohio State University's Campus after midnight Sunday.
One person was injured in the incident, and police say it was not a random act. The suspect fled the scene and has not been arrested.
A Buckeye Alert went out to students and faculty that there was an active attacker reported on campus, and to "run, hide, or, as a last resort, fight."
Ohio State University police tweeted that the shooter fled Eastbound and was wearing a black hoodie and a cowboy hat.
