Many school districts across Ohio are faced with tough decisions over how to balance their budgets after residents across the state last month voted down a number of school levies. Today, The Sound of Ideas spoke with officials across the region about the difficult decisions they're making, including Janice Wyckoff superintendent of the Black River Schools. It's a rural district that covers portions of Medina, Ashland and Lorain Counties. Host Dan Moulthrop asked Wyckoff whether she's considered merging with a neighboring district.
