Poverty and struggling schools tend to go hand in hand. But we're going to hear next a story about some Ohio schools that are defying the odds. They're high performing despite having a high need student body. The education think tank, the Fordham Institute, studied eight high performing schools to figure out what they have in common and what can be learned from their experiences. Quentin Suffren is one of the authors of a new report titled "Needles in a Haystack." He spoke with ideastream®'s Eric Wellman.
