COVID-19 Northeast Ohio School District Re-opening Plans

Homeroom: The challenges and perils of returning to school during the coronavirus pandemic

As the coronavirus pandemic continues, and guidance from health officials keeps evolving, school districts across Northeast Ohio have chosen a variety of approaches to starting the 2020-2021 school year.

So, ideastream has created this interactive map to help you access school reopening plans for districts in 11 different counties across Northeast Ohio.

Some school districts will have remote-only learning to start the year, while others will have a hybrid approach with a mix of in-person classes and virtual learning. Other districts have opted for in-person only, and still others are undecided. It is important to note none of these plans are set in stone and are subject to change as school boards and administrators continue to assess the safety of returning to in-person learning.

Search for your district, hover over it on the map or click on your district, and you will see proposed start dates for districts that have plans in place, a link to information for that district and a summary of the reopening plans. Or type the name of your district here:

This map and searchable database were last updated on Aug.12.

If you have information you would like to provide to ideastream about a district not yet listed on this map or an update about plans for a district that is listed, please fill out the form below. If your district has sent you a letter and you are able to scan it or take a photo of it and share it with us, you can do that using the form.
